French Consul General meets with the Change Movement
The French consul General in the Kurdistan Region and his accompanying delegation met on Tuesday, with the Change Movement for, in Sulaimani where he pledged during the meeting to closely monitor the elections of the Parliament of Kurdistan in coordination with the European Union.
On September 11, 2018, the French Consul in the Kurdistan Region, Dominique Maas, and a delegation accompanying him visited the headquarters of the Change Movement in Sulaimani . Where he was received by the General Coordinator of the Change Movement , Omar Sayid Ali, and members of the Chamber of Diplomatic Relations.
In a meeting between the two sides, they discussed the current political situation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
Member of the Chamber of Diplomatic Relations, Shunas Sherko, said in a statement to the KKN that the French Consul stressed the need to hold the elections of the Parliament of Kurdistan on its scheduled time away from fraud and violations.
Explaining that "Mas" pledged to monitor the parliamentary elections accurately in coordination with the European Union, at the request of the Change Movement .
He warned that the recurrence of fraud and violations in the elections endanger the security and stability in the region, "in this case, the ruling parties should be held responsible for it."
