His death was a great loss for the Kurdish people, says General Coordinator
The General Coordinator of the Change Movement( Gorran) , Omar Saiyd Ali said that the late leader Nawshirwan Mustafa was an outstanding figure in the Iraqi politics and the Arab world and that he was the mastermind of the uprising in the Kurdistan Region against the Baathist regime, therefore his departure was a great loss to the Kurdish people.
"The departure of Nawshirwan Mustafa was a great loss for the Kurdish people because he was the only leader who worked for 50 years as a politician, a national leader for the liberation of the Kurdish people," he added.
His speech came during the ceremony marking the first anniversary of the departure of the founder of the Change Movement with the participation of thousands of citizens
The ceremony took place on late Saturday 19 May 2018 at his tomb at the headquarters of the Change Movement for in Zargata hill in Sulaimani.
