UK MPs meet with Gorran officials

A delegation of UK MPs known as All Party Parliamentary Group ( APPG) on the Kurdistan Region in Iraq  visited today. May 26, the main headquarters of the Change Movement( Gorran) in the city of Sulaimani. The UK delegation included the MPs: Jack Lopresti, Robert Halfon and  Gary Kent.

The delegation met with Mohammad Tofiq Rahim, Member of Executive body of the Change Movement and Dr. Hoshyar Omer, Coordinator of diplomatic relation room along with other members from the diplomatic room.
 
During a meeting, both sides discussed the political situation in the region, the  Kurdistan region and the recent Iraqi parliamentary elections where the Gorran delegates explained in details and with evidence the fraud that has been made  made in the Iraqi parliamentary elections, the UK delegation have taken Gorran's views into consideration.

In another part of the meeting, the Gorran delegates reiterated that they will not accept the results of the elections, in any way, saying that the fraud that have been mad and changing the results of the process will lead to deterioration of peace and stability in the Kurdistan region, casting the blame on those who carried out the fraud.
