Dr. Yousif Mohammad met with Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq

Dr. Yousif Mohammad met with Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq ,  Tone Elisabeth Allers and her accompanying delegation where the two sides discussed relations between the Kurdistan region and Iraq, as well as the shift of  balance of power in Iraq.

In a meeting attended by several members of the diplomatic relations room of the Change Movement, Dr. Yousif Mohammad briefed the Norwegian diplomats about some pressing issues in the Kurdistan region and Iraq saying" Currently, the balance of power appears to have shifted in Iraq. Iraqi government considers itself as victorious in the war who wants to impose a centralized authority , but Iraq is a multi-ethnic country and should be ruled with a decentralized system."

As for the Kurdish referendum, he said that holding the referendum was a great political  mistake, since Kurdistan region was not prepared in political, economic and diplomatic aspects for holding such a big process.
He also called on European nations to closely monitor the upcoming Iraqi elections to ensure holding a fair elections .

For her part, Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq ,  Tone Elisabeth Allers voice concerns over the disputes between Baghdad and Kurdistan region, expressing her delight for recent attempts for resolving the differences. She also expressed optimism for the great human resources and potentials for rebuilding democracy.
