Gorran General Council convened
 
 The general council of the Change Movement convened on 26th January 2017, in the conference hall at the main headquarters of the Change Movement in Sulaimani.

The meeting aimed at  discussing several issues, above all,  the upcoming  general elections in Kurdistan region, stressing the need to normalizing the situation in Kurdistan region, namely to reactivate Kurdistan parliament prior to the elections.
 
 Following the meeting,  Dr Rauf Osman, head of the general council of Gorran told Gorran media network that the meeting was a regular  monthly meeting of the council, saying  they we were discussing the next general elections and the need for amending elections law.

‘we cite it  necessary to modify the elections law before  the elections.  The political situation of the region must be normalized  and the Parliament must be reactivated and we also discussed whether the elections launched in open or closed lists.' he added.
