The Change Movement (Gorran) marked the 9th anniversary of its foundation on Wednesday amid further political challenges and intensified political feuds among its rivaling factions in Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

In the statement published by Gorran on its anniversary occasion, the Movement marks its anniversary adding that it was the first opposition party in Kurdistan region's political landscape and struggling against political and financial corruption in Kurdistan Region as well as in Iraq.

"We [Gorran] fight to achieve our national objectives and self-determination right for Kurds." the statement reads.

In 2009 late Nawshirwan Mustafa founded Change Movement and participated in Kurdistan parliamentary election on July 25th, 2009 obtain 25 seats to become the second largest party in Kurdistan region. Gorran entered political process as a first opposition party in Region's history.

In its 9th anniversary, Gorran vows to progress on its principles and agenda against corrupted authority in Kurdistan region adding that both of KDP and PUK committed the gigantic fraud on May 12 Iraqi parliamentary election.

" Gorran well prepared with high spirits and morale to next Kurdistan parliamentary election, seeking to form a powerful alliance between political parties." the statement added.
