  Six Kurdish parties welcome decision to manual recount of May 12 election
Six parties from the Kurdistan region welcome and support the Iraqi parliament decisions to full manual recount of last Month's election results.

In the joint statement published on Thursday, The Change Movement (Gorran), The Coalition for Democracy and Justice (CDJ), the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), the Islamic Group of Kurdistan (Komal), the Communist Party of Kurdistan, and the Islamic Movement of Kurdistan (IKM) praised yesterday's Iraqi Parliament decision to full manual recount and annul diasporas and special voting.

The six parties accused the KRG ruling parties of rigging the election and rejected the results, they also
unveiled proofs of wide-scale voter fraud in the Iraqi May 12 parliamentary elections.


“We announce our full support for the important and historic step taken by the Iraqi parliament to respond to political parties over electronic fraud and hooliganism against peoples‌ votes, and meddling with the result,”  the statement read.

The parties praise all efforts to return people's voice they also call on the Iraqi legislative bodies of Iraq to play their full role to return people and parties rights.


Iraq's top judicial authority on Thursday took over the Independent Elections Commission as stipulated by a law passed in response to complaints of widespread fraud in last month's national elections, according to a statement.

On Wednesday, lawmakers approved amendments to the election law that include annulling results from balloting abroad and camps for displaced people in four Sunni-dominated provinces, and call for a manual recount of all ballots.
