No compromise on the votes of the people of Kurdistan
Brett McGurk, the American presidential envoy arrived in Sulaimani and started a meeting with four Kurdish opposition parties Tuesday afternoon at Gorran’s headquarters in Sulaimani.
Separately, the four parties held their own meeting after their meeting with the American presidential envoy in which they reiterated their consonant position over rejecting the election results and that they would never compromise on the rights of voters.
following the meeting, Hoshyar Omer, the coordinator for Gorran's diplomatic relations room told reporters that the four parties are united in their position in rejecting the results as well as the election process and insist on the results to be annulled, saying they have filed a lawsuit to have election re-run due to large- scale fraud.
" The fraud will contribute to instability in the Kurdistan Region since it was not only a fraud, rather it was a clear change to the results of the process. The Americans have taken our complaints seriously, and they have given the parties the choice to decide whether to participate or boycott next Iraqi government . " He added.
